RSSWillie Wood Way Designation Act
Council Chairman Kwame R. Brown announces the scheduling of a Public Hearing by the Committee of the Whole on B19-0579, the “Willie Wood Way Designation Act of 2011." The public hearing is scheduled for December 13, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in Room 500 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed legislation to symbolically designate the unit block of N STreet, N.W. between First Street, N.W., and New York Avenue, N.W., as "Willie Wood Way."
Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to testify at the public hearing are encourage to sign up online by visiting our Council website at http://www.dccouncil.us Indiv.iduals may also contact Priscilla McIver, Administrative Assistant to the Committee of the Whole, at (202) 724-8196, or via e-mail at pford@dccouncil.us and furnish their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and organizational affiliation, if any, by the close of business Monday, December 12, 2011. They should also bring 20 copies of their written testimony or submit one copy of their written testimony by Monday, December 12, 2011. Persons presenting testimony may be limited to 3 minutes in order to permit each witness an opportunity to be heard.
