B19-692: Board of Elections Member Compensation Amendment Act of 2012
Councilmember Muriel Bowser, Chair of the Committee on Government Operations, announces a public hearing on B19-166: Open Government Act of 2011 and B19-692: Board of Elections Member Compensation Amendment Act of 2012. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 12:30 P.M., in Room 412, of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
B19-692: Board of Elections Member Compensation Amendment Act of 2012 would entitle members of the Board of Elections and Ethics to be compensated up to $26,500 per year for the Chairperson and $12,500 for other Board members according to D.C. Code § 1-1001.04(c).
Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to testify at the public hearing are asked to register online or contact Judah Gluckman, Legislative Counsel to the Committee on Government Operations, at (202) 724-8025, or via e-mail at jgluckman@dccouncil.us and furnish their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and organizational affiliation, if any, by the close of business Monday, March 12, 2012. Persons presenting testimony may be limited to 3 minutes in order to permit each witness an opportunity to be heard.
If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Committee on Government Operations, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 113 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.
