DC Board of Elections and Ethics Confirmations
Councilmember Muriel Bowser, Chair of the Committee on Government Operations, announces a public roundtable on two nominees to the Board of Elections and Ethics. The public roundtable will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:30 A.M., in Room 412, of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Ms. Bowser also announces a public hearing on Bill 19-476, Government of the District of Columbia Comprehensive Merit Personnel Amendment Act of 2011. The public hearing will take place immediately following the conclusion of the public roundtable.
PR 19-409: District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics Stephen I. Danzansky Confirmation Resolution of 2011 would confirm the appointment of Stephen Danzansky, a Ward 3 resident, to the Board of Elections and Ethics (BOEE). The BOEE is the independent agency of the District government responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access and voter registration. The BOEE consists of three active Board members, an Executive Director, a General Counsel and a number of support staff who run the day-to-day operations of the Agency.
PR 19-410: District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics Devarieste Curry Confirmation Resolution of 2011 would confirm the appointment of Devarieste Curry, a Ward 6 resident, to the Board of Elections and Ethics (BOEE). The BOEE is the independent agency of the District government responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access and voter registration. The BOEE consists of three active Board members, an Executive Director, a General Counsel and a number of support staff who run the day-to-day operations of the Agency.
PR 19-428: District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics Deborah K. Nichols Confirmation Resolution of 2011 would confirm the appointment of Deborah K. Nichols, a Ward 6 resident, to the Board of Elections and Ethics (BOEE). If appointed, Ms. Nichols would replace and complete the unexpired term of Chairman Togo West Jr. for a term to end July 7, 2012. The BOEE is the independent agency of the District government responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access and voter registration. The BOEE consists of three active Board members, an Executive Director, a General Counsel and a number of support staff who run the day-to-day operations of the Agency.

Persons presenting testimony may be limited to 3 minutes in order to permit each witness an opportunity to be heard.
