On Decebember 19, 2011, Councilmember Mary M. Cheh, Chairperson of the Committee on Environment, Public Works, and Transportation, will hold a public oversight roundtable on the District's Snow Removal Operations Plan for the winter of 2011-2012. The Department of Public Works has the primary responsibility for the District's snow removal operations. Efficient operations require the participation and coordination of several government agencies. The roundtable will review DPW's readiness for the coming snow season and the agency's ability to coordinate with other entities. The public oversight roundtable will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Room 500 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
