Public oversight roundtable to receive testimony from the DC Boxing and Wrestling Commission, Events DC, and other interested parties on the "Capital Showdown" championship boxing event held on December 10, 2011
The purpose of the public oversight roundtable is to receive testimony from the DC Boxing Commission, Events DC, Golden Boy Promotions, Inc., HBO and representatives from other organizations connected with the championship fight held in Washington, DC on December 10, 2011. In the aftermath of the event, a number of allegations have been raised concerning the integrity of how the match was scored. The roundtable will take testimony from witnesses addressing themselves to those issues and others that have been raised in press reports about the controversy surrounding the bout. The roundtable will also examine the boxing experience for the event at the Convention Center.
